A Day in Ferrara

April 11, 2022
I hopped over to medieval walled city Ferrara, a UNESCO site about 30 minutes by train from Bologna.

The Duomo had scaffolding up the front so I skipped that. The Castle has a moat, so that’s cool to see.

Ferrara is known for being very bicycle friendly and there’s a path along the medieval city walls for walking and cycling. I took it easy and just wandered around the center, did the Castle, ate lunch, back on the train.

Highlight: cappellacci di zucca at Trattoria Da Noemi

Lowlight: the Castello Estense dungeons
